Local experts offer insight into each destination.

  • This workshop sparked more story ideas and angles than any other conference I’ve attended in ten years. I would definitely attend another Travel Writing on Location event. Santa Fe and the La Fonda were a great destination. I also appreciated the PR perspective, the guest speakers, customized itinerary, and the generous resources you shared.
  • All of the workshop material was beneficial, in fact, more useful than I expected, and I got more actionable ideas from this Travel Writing on Location workshop than expected. The activities were well-researched and showed writers that they need to get out and experience the city first-hand. Every other conference I’ve ever taken failed to include this “go-see-do” element. Santa Fe was a first-class experience from start to finish. — Helen, IL

  • Travel Writing on Location’s workshop in Santa Fe, New Mexico far exceeded my expectations. The choice of venue, the historic La Fonda Hotel, proved to be the perfect setting for delving deeply into nearly every aspect of Santa Fe culture.
  • Workshop director Janna Graber seamlessly interspersed workshop sessions with field trips ranging from a visit to Rancho de Las Golondrinas for a Civil War Re-Enactment to a cooking class at the Santa Fe School of Cooking followed by lunch (yum!).
  • I have attended workshops in other fields, but this was by far the best! I came away energized and inspired to put to use all that I learned!  As an aspiring travel writer with a film and fiction writing background, I was blessed to have stumbled upon Travel Writing On Location. — Barbara, NY
